Day two...

Today we made Tarte aux Pommes (apple tart) with the Pate Sucree and apple compote we made the day before. I think almost half the class cut themselves trying to slice the apples thinly for the top of the tart. After the tarts were in the oven, we made Crème Patissiere, a really nice vanilla pastry cream. Did I mention how big of a clumsy fool I am. Well, as I was making my way down the stairs on my way back home from school I tripped and fell down the stairs. I have a little bit of a sprained ankle (which still is kinda hurting) and a totally crushed apple tart. Sad.
